BARCODE INVENTORY FOR REPAIR & RETAIL

Barcode inventory software for repair parts, accessories and everyday retail stock.

Knight Reach Inventory helps repair and retail businesses receive stock quickly, keep product and branch context clear, and track the movements that explain why stock changed.

Scan new stock from a phone

Smart Intake can use a phone camera to scan a product or outer-box barcode. Known products can be received quickly, while a new barcode can open an assisted setup flow for the basic product information the business needs.

Manual barcode entry remains available when a barcode is damaged or camera access is unavailable.

Receive boxes but track the individual items you actually sell

A package barcode can be linked to the number of individual selling units inside the box. Receiving one box of 24 can therefore add 24 base units while the shop still sells and counts the individual product correctly.

The package relationship is remembered for later deliveries so staff do not need to rebuild the same conversion every time stock arrives.

Keep optional expiry dates by stock batch

Expiry tracking is optional because many repair parts and accessories do not expire. When it is enabled, separate deliveries can keep their own expiry or best-before date instead of forcing one date onto the whole product.

That makes the same inventory usable for a phone shop that also sells drinks, snacks, cosmetics or other dated stock.

Keep a movement history instead of silently changing the number

Stock changes create movement records so the business can see what was received, used, sold, damaged, transferred or adjusted, along with the branch and staff context available for that action.

This gives owners a clearer explanation of the current stock figure than a quantity field that can be overwritten without history.

Use pricing and demand signals as recommendations, not automatic changes

Knight can assist with market-price research and cost-based price suggestions when a product is first set up or reviewed. The recommendation remains advisory and the owner or manager keeps control of the selling price.

Recorded stock usage also creates the foundation for demand and reorder intelligence without pretending that a new product has a reliable trend before enough history exists.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Questions repair businesses ask before choosing software.

Can I scan inventory barcodes with a phone?

Yes. Knight Reach Smart Intake supports phone-camera barcode scanning in supported browsers, with barcode-photo and manual-entry fallbacks for situations where live scanning is unavailable.

How does Knight Reach handle a box that contains items sold individually?

A package or outer-box barcode can be linked to the number of base selling units inside it. Receiving the box increases stock by the individual-unit quantity, while the product can still be sold or counted one unit at a time.

Are expiry dates mandatory?

No. Expiry tracking is optional per product. When enabled, separate stock batches can keep separate expiry or best-before dates.
